Mary is an RN, a graduate of Ohio Valley General Hospital School of Nursing in Wheeling, WV now residing in central Pennsylvania.  She is a professional quilt judge certified by the National Quilting Association in 2006 and qualified to judge Master Quilts in 2009. She is a member of the National Quilting Association, the American Quilt Society, the Appliqué Society, the Lebanon Quilt Guild, and the Derry Presbyterian Quilters.

She enjoys the challenge of competing in quilting on a local, regional, national and international level.  Her work has traveled the country with the Hoffman Challenge, been exhibited in many quilt shows and seen in Quilters Newsletter Magazine, Quilting Today and the NQA Quilting Quarterly.  She prides herself on attention to detail and in addition to winning first place ribbons she has won an award for most precise appliqué, best workmanship and the obsessive-compulsive prize.

Her roots as a quilter are traditional with an appreciation for the creative process the art quilter uses to create a composition.
